Rachael Storey, Assistant Professor of Media Studies

Rachael Storey has worked professionally for fifteen years in live theater, film, television, radio, voice over, and multi-media sculptural design. Both independently and through her production company, Urban Ink, Rachael has collaborated in the creation of feature films, educational and music video, and long and short form documentary. Her collaborations have included work with the Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence, as well as with media outlets and clients like the Discovery Channel, National Geographic, Volkswagen, MCA/Universal (Vivendi), Avnet/Kerner, and Working Assets Radio.

Rachael specializes in documentary, and her works address the intersections of art, culture, and politics. Her current projects include the creation of a comprehensive film series documenting the Washington-based Go-Go music and culture movement against and within the evolving story of gentrification/redevelopment in the District of Columbia.
