Dr. Johnson has published articles on 19th and 20th-century American literature, British fiction, canon formation, American film and popular culture, experimental literature and performance. |

Dr. Johnson's research and teaching interests include practical aesthetics and rhetoric of mass media, technology and textuality, history and theory of narrative, American culture studies, and performance theory.
